a matter of ... “……的问题”。Give-and-take “相互妥协”、 “互谅互让”。

You have to give and take in business.
Business requires give-and-take.
多嘴多舌惹麻烦。

big mouth “搬弄是非”。trouble “麻烦”、 “纠纷”。

宁做鸡头, 不做凤尾。

must not ... “不可以……”。give up on ... “不再期待……”、 “放弃……”。potential “可能的”、 “可
能发生的”、 “潜在的”。

“说比做容易”, 也就是说“说起来容易做起来难”。

Don't give up on any potential customers.
Don't give up until you get your sale.
(东西卖出去之前你都不要放弃。)

until “直到……”。

一人计短, 二人计长嘛。

谚语。意思是“做决定的时候找个人商量要比一个人冥思苦想好”。直译是“两个头比一个头好”, 也就是

toast “干杯”。

each “各自”、 “每个”。own “ 自己的”。常用的谚语。意思是“人各有所好”。

kind “种类”、 “性质”。

Everyone is different.
(人各不相同。)

So many men, so many minds.
Different strokes for different folks.
(人各有所好。)
