用途:用作抗艾滋病和抗病毒药,齐多夫定为抗病毒药，用于艾滋病或与艾滋病有关的综合症患者及免疫缺陷病毒(HIV)感染的治疗。 1987年3月19日，美国食品与药品管理署批准该药上市。齐多夫定是世界上第一个获得美国FDA批准生产的抗艾滋病药品，因其疗效确 切，成为“鸡尾酒”疗法最基本的组合成分。该品为抗病毒药，在体外对逆转病毒包括人免疫缺陷病毒（HIV）具有高度活性。在受 病毒感染的细胞内被细胞胸苷激酶磷酸化为三磷酸齐多夫定，后者能选择性抑制HIV逆转酶，导致HIV链合成终止从而阻止HIV复制。
